Ken Belk
Ken started his involvement at Bempton in the 1980s when he would bring groups of children on school visits. Bempton volunteering became a hobby and then on his retirement, he worked for a year as Information Warden. In the following years he volunteered on the cruises, in the shop, on the cliffs, with school groups and giving talks to groups. As it says on his plaque in the Visitor Centre “He loved this place and helped it grow”.
During this time he also volunteered with the local RSPB group, Flamborough Bird Observatory, the Heritage Coast and the Y.W.T as chairman of the Trust Supporter Group in Flamborough and assisted with the ground work to establish the Living Seas Centre.
